About Us
Designer Engravings was founded in 1992 by Keith, Vivian & Jo Coggins (now Swanepoel); all of whom were active in the establishing and running of the business. Today, whilst the structure of the business has changed over the years, Vivian & Jo are still fully involved but now work with a committed core team of employees; still small enough to keep the values & work ethics of a family run business.
Designer Engravings is based in Industria, Johannesburg and services businesses & individuals countrywide. As a B-BBEEE rated business we have enjoyed working on a number of prestigious South African projects.
Perhaps quite appropriately, a scripture “adopted” in the culture of Designer Engravings is read in 1 Samuel 7:12…. “Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

Our Commission
It is our hope that we would provide a product and service that would leave a lasting and favorable impression to our customers.
In creating a memorial for a grieving family, that we would provide the care and understanding necessary to allow families this time to enjoy the memories of their loved one; that we could guide families, removing uncertainty and providing comfort.
And in working with our corporate clients, again our aim is to provide a level of excellence in service & product. Working with architects, heritage organisations, stone masons and the like, we enjoy collaborating with the client to translate concepts, bringing them into being.
The Team
Designer Engravings has a small and committed team of employees; some of whom have been with the Company for over 20 years. Coming to work has become more than just a place of work; to many of us it is a constant and a stay.
