ARCHITECTURAL STONEWORK
Working closely with the client, we enjoy translating concepts, assisting and working through logistics to completion of the project. Designer Engravings is able to undertake larger projects and, where necessary, can work on site.
The Freedom Charter monument, positioned on a national heritage site, commemorates the site where the Freedom Charter was drawn up as an alternative vision to the then repressive state policies.
Designer Engravings sandblasted the full wording of the Freedom Charter into custom cast concrete slabs. Lettering was infilled and slabs sealed.

The Freedom Park is a beautiful architectural memorial to honour those who sacrificed their lives to win freedom.
Designer Engravings was commissioned to sandblast all the names of those honoured; sandblasting into honed sandstone plaques.

The Maropeng Stone Park was created to celebrate the Cradle of Humankind as a World Heritage Site.
Designer Engravings sandblasted the 2 giant granite stone tools at the entrance; these granite stone tools representing human endeavour and human industry.
